HIPAA is for reals, folks. All of my "patient stories" have been changed to protect patient privacy. I will change any or all identifiers, including age, location, race/ethnicity, sex, medical history, and quotes.
All my ridiculous quotes and stories are real, though. They all happened to somebody, just not the person I say it is.

8 weeks in to medical school, and I’ve just killed my third highlighter. And no, these weren’t leftovers from last year. They were fresh Sharpie highlighters. So sad. It looks all dried out and squished from the pressure. So out with the old, in with the new.
